There are many steps in studying the behavior of humans in which scientists and psychologists follow. To be specific there are five scientific steps used in the study of psychology. Some things in the universe are confusing and we often don’t know why they happen the way they do and that is where scientific research comes in, to teach us. Without this type of research many things in our lives would be unexplainable and wouldn’t be prevented if they needed to be. Scientific research is important because it helps to explain how the world works and the reasoning behind actions going on around us. It clarifies the way we respond to certain activities we run into every day. It is important because it puts aside someone’s personal beliefs or biases and gets down to straight facts. Have you ever wondered why someone behaved a certain way or reacted a way you weren’t expecting? Well, scientific research would take steps and study the activity of people who respond the same way and you’d get your answer. The world is full of the questions “why?” or “how?” and everyone is curious, and so scientific research was invented to help give us the answers we need. Not only to answer our curiosities but give us the knowledge we need to survive and learn about the different methods. In order to learn about scientific methods, you must conduct a theory. The first step is observing the phenomenon, this means someone sees something happen in the world and wants to know why or how it is happening the why is it so they start to observe the behavior as a study. The second step is formulating hypotheses and predictions, scientologists come up with a prediction of why they think that certain thing is happening. Testing through empirical research is the third step, scientists use this step to actually test their hypotheses by “Collecting and analyzing data.” The next step is drawing conclusions, in this step scientific draw conclusions from the research and data they have collected…
